Ivan is fluent in Spanish.

Ivan has over 10 years of experience working with adults presenting a variety of mental health difficulties due to depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, low self-esteem, and stress. Ivan’s client-centered approach is informed by his experience working with different populations in the Dominican Republic, United Kingdom, and Canada in both English and Spanish. With Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as his main therapeutic approach, Ivan also draws resources from other evidence-based modalities like Mindfulness, Compassion-Focused Therapy, EMDR, and Solution-Focused Therapy in order to ensure the best fit for your needs. His main goal is to provide a safe space for you to explore, understand and change the patterns that hold you back in the pursuit of your goals.

Education: Ivan is a Registered Psychotherapist and a member in good standing of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). He is also a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Ivan holds a B.A. in Psychology from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic and an MSc. in Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapy from the University of Derby in the UK.

Dakota is a passionate, empathetic and dedicated Psychotherapist (Qualifying), registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Dakota believes in a person-centred approach when it comes to talk therapy. She has completed her Bachelor of Arts, Honour’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from King’s University College (Western University). She has completed her Master of Art’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Accompanying her education, she has 6+ years in work and volunteer experience in front line/leadership roles in social services, harm reduction/substance use, justice involvement, and crisis assessment/management for youth and adults.

Chelsie is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a Yorkville University graduate with a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has also completed a Master’s degree in Psychology, with a focus on development across the lifespan. Chelsie has worked as a crisis counsellor where she provided support and intervention for individuals and families experiencing mental health challenges. Chelsie has also interned as a therapist with Thrive Counselling where she supported youth and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, difficult life transitions, and self-esteem issues.

Rebecca is an Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) completing her Master’s degree at Yorkville University, building on her Honors Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from York University.

In the last several years, she has volunteered at the Distress Centres of Greater Toronto where she provided emotional support, suicide prevention and crisis intervention services through 24/7 distress and crisis line service. She also participated in a variety of additional helpline programs including our Canadian Suicide Prevention Service across Canada, EMS Partnership Program, and CAMH Warm Transfer Program answering calls from individuals with complex mental health/addiction concerns.
